Air contamination control for health care facilitiesULPA Filter & HEPA Filter
Air Purification Systems

Nowhere is control of airborne contamination more vital than in health care facilities. High concentrations of microbial pathogens bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold spores combined with immunosupressed individuals, at high risk for life-threatening infections, make air filtration and disinfection a critical component of ensuring patient health and safety. We offer a comprehensive line of state-of-the-art air purification systems utilizing the unsurpassed micro-filtration of hospital-grade HEPA and ULPA filters, UVGI (ultraviolet germicidal irradiation) sterilization, negative pressure capabilities and airflows up to 2000 CFM.

Whether you need portable in-room units for construction, renovation and maintenance,  permanent installations, safety enclosures or high efficiency vacuums for decontamination cleanup, our experts will provide you with the industry's most effective and efficient air contamination control solutions  for hospitals, isolation rooms, operating theatres, cleanrooms, clinics, outpatient centers, dental offices, medical labs and more.

Negative Air Pressure Isolation Rooms

ACCU Negative Pressure Equipment for isolation rooms - These versatile negative air units are available with optional HEPA filter, UVGI light section and louvers and collars for in-room use or above-ceiling installation.

Portable Contamination Control for Health care Facilities

Portable Contamination Control - Compact, portable design requiring no ductwork or installation. These HEPA filter units are designed to handle the rigorous demands of micro-decontamination operations where reliable, high-volume filtration is required.

Above-Ceiling Air Purification Systems for Hospitals

Above-Ceiling HEPA Filtration - This compact low-profile unit is available in a variety of configurations for quiet, out-of-sight decontamination. HEPA, UVGI and ozone UV options

Safety Enclosures with Medical ULPA and HEPA filter and UVGI for

ACCU Safety Enclosure - Room air is drawn in at a rate of 200 fpm and forced through UVGI lighting and a HEPA filter, protecting  the worker's breathing zone and re-circulating clean air into the room.

HEPA Vacuums for Construction & Maintenance Cleanup

XtractMAX HEPA Vacuums - Compact and highly maneuverable, these electric vacuums are designed for effective cleanup. With an optional HEPA filter offering 99.97% efficiency at removing dust particles down to .3 microns.

Contamination Control

Bacteria, Viruses, and Fungi Mold Spores like AspergillusThe Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that more than 90,000 people die each year from hospital-acquired (nosocomial) infections. Human-source infectious agents such as TB and Rubella can become airborne and transported through ventilation systems. Potentially toxic mold spores commonly lie dormant in walls and ceilings, aerosolizing when disturbed by construction and maintenance activities. Toxins like Aspergillus and Legionella can become deadly when introduced into the respiratory tracts of patients with weakened immune systems.

Air Purification Systems with UVGI for Hospitals

Adequate ventilation, isolation and air filtration, using hospital-grade HEPA and ULPA filters, in conjunction with UVGI air sterilization, have proven highly effective at removing these deadly microbes from the air stream, greatly reducing the potential for infection transmission to patients, health care workers and visitors.

In its Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control in Health care Facilities, the CDC recommends the use of portable, industrial-grade HEPA filter units capable of filtration rates in the range of 300 to 800 CFM to augment the removal of respirable particles. Our HEPA filter units are capable of capturing airborne contaminants as small as .3 microns (see figure below for relative pathogen sizes).

Negative room air pressure further prevents cross-contamination so that air flows from adjacent areas into the negative pressure room, preventing the escape of contaminated air. Our negative pressure ACCU units offer airflow ranges from 300 to 2000 CFM, are compact and portable and easily adaptable for permanent installation in isolation rooms, critical care units and more.

UVGI has proven highly effective, in conjunction with filtration, at neutralizing deadly microbes. Specially coated lamps emit germicidal UV light, known to disinfect pathogens contained in microscopic airborne droplets and dust.

In a study conducted at the NatroMed medical facility in Vancouver, Canada, air sampling before and after installation of an air purification system indicated airborne mold within the medical facility to be 10 to 1000 times lower after installation of an UVGI purifying unit.
